A custom structure integrated into the landscape brings framing, interior cladding, ventilation, and a dedicated electrical circuit with it. Heater choice matters: an electric Finnish heater needs a 240V circuit run to the location, and a wood-fired stove needs a chimney and clearances. Interior wood species and the amount of glass are the other two levers.

Yes! Arizona's dry heat actually makes saunas more enjoyable: the contrast between sauna heat and evening cool-down is invigorating. Most clients use their saunas October through May during cooler months, and early mornings or evenings in summer. The wellness benefits are year-round.

Traditional dry saunas (Finnish style) work excellently in Arizona's low humidity. Infrared saunas offer lower operating temperatures and faster warm-up. Barrel saunas are popular for their aesthetic and efficient heating. We recommend electric heaters for convenience: no wood storage or venting needed.
